Twenty- One Seniors
The largest class ever to be graduated from the Humbird High School will receive their diplomas at the commencement exercise the evening of May 24. The class of 1939 consists of twenty-one members - nine girls and twelve boys. The largest previous class was that of 1936. This consisted of eighteen.
The members of the Class of 1939 are:
Robert Bell, Robert Creviston, William Creviston, Gloria Dignin, Velva Escher, Madge Flynn, Winifred Hardwick, Betty Kelsh, Arthur Laffe, Sheldon Laffe, Alice Lastofka, Lyle LeCaptain, Veda LeCaptain, Louise Leiser, Arthur Putman, Walter Scheffer, Ida Smith, Robert Smith, William Staves, Arthur Zerbel, Roger Zerbel
The class officers were Walter Scheffer president, and Madge Flynn secretary treasurer. The class motto is, "The past forever gone, the future still our own." The class colors are emerald green and white, and the class flower is the sweet pea. The seniors will present their play at the town hall Friday, April 28.
