Hainzlsperger, Eleanor Alma (Marriage - *31 Aug. 1946)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Colby was the scene of the wedding of Miss Eleanor Alma Hainzlsperger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hainzlsperger, Unity, and Clyde Andrew Purkis Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Purkis Sr., Unity. The Rev. N. B. Beschta officiated.
White net over lustrous satin fashioned the bride’s gown designed with a fitted bodice and a long train. Her finger-tip veil edged with lace was caught to a beaded crown and she carried a shower bouquet. The gold pin she wore belonged to her great-grandmother.
Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hainzlsperger, Miss Viola Hainzlsperger, and Florian Hainzlsperger, brother-in-law, sisters and brother of the bride.
The matron of honor was attired in pink satin while the bridesmaid wore blue taffeta. Corsages of white gladioli and pink roses were pinned to their shoulders.
Following the ceremony both dinner and supper were served. In the evening, there was a wedding dance in Cherokee Hall.
Mr. Purkis works for a railroad company. The couple are now at home to friends on route 1 near Dorchester, Wis.
The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
