Crago, Louis Jule (30 July 1900 - 2 Sept. 1939)

Louis Jule Crago, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Crago, of Merrillan, died very suddenly at his room in the Herald Bldg., Grand Forks, N. Dak., on Sunday, Sept. 2nd, at 6 p.m., of a heart attack. Louis was engaged as Radio M. C. and stage comedian on the Grand Forks unit of the Big Ole Show Co. He was born on July 30, 1900, and leaves to mourn his parents, a sister, Mrs. Bub Williams, of Denver, Colo., and brother, T. E. Crago, now of St. Cloud, Minn.

On the day of his death, Louis had acted as M. C. for the thirty-minute broadcast at 10 a.m. that day, and had attended a rehearsal at 2 p.m., and had not mentioned feeling in any manner. He was one of the most popular and best known actors in Wisconsin and the northwest with a host of friends where known and his passing takes from the stage a very versatile and lovable comedian, who has brought laughter and sunshine into the hearts of thousands of people.

Burial was at Alma Center on Thursday, Sept. 7, after short services at the residence in Merrillan.
