Miller, Isabelle H. (Marriage - 15 Mar. 1947)

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller, Unity, announce the marriage of their daughter, Isabelle H. Miller, 204 E. 9th Street, Marshfield, Wisconsin to Donald J. Ziegahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert E. Ziegahn, Marshfield, Route 1. The wedding ceremony took place March 15 at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity, with the Rev. J. A. Olson reading the vows.

Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. R. Wildish, Marshfield, a brother-in-law and sister of the groom.

The bride wore a white wool dressmaker suit with black accessories. Twin orchids were pinned to her shoulder. Mrs. Wildish was attired in a gold wool suit and had a corsage of gardenias and jonquil.

Mrs. Ziegahn attended her son’s wedding in a gray gabardine taileur and Mrs. Miller was present in a blue crepe dress. Both wore corsages of gardenias.

At 1 o’clock, dinner was served to members of the bridal party and invited guests at the 1043 Club. A large wedding cake formed the centerpiece at the table.

Mr. Ziegahn was graduated from the Marshfield High School with the class of 1939. He served in World War II for two years, eight months, of which time he spent as a guard at the Nuerenberg trials. He has 3 battle stars. Mr. Ziegahn is employed as a truck driver. His bride has been engaged as a stenographer by Steve Miller for the past two years.

The young bride and groom are now honeymooning in California.
