Johnson, Verna V. (Marriage = 17 Apr. 1947)

A very pretty Spring wedding was performed at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity Thursday afternoon, April 17 at 2:00 o’clock when Miss Verna V. Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, Unity, became the bride of Corwin C. Dallman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Dallman, Unity. Rev. J. A. Olson officiated at the ceremony.

The wedding march was played by Mrs. Ansel Messer and LaVon Domer and Wayne Salter sang "Because" and "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Maxine Salter on the piano.

The bride wore a dress with a white satin top and chiffon bottom with a little peplem around the waist and a high neckline and a long train. A sequin design adorned the hip. She wore a long net veil with lace around the edge and at the bottom and her bouquet consisted of white gardenias, talisman roses and sweet peas with showers of ribbon.

Miss Dorothy Rydberg as Matron of Honor wore a yellow chiffon dress. Mrs. Walter Johnson as bridesmaid was attired in a dress of pink ?. Miss Eileen Johnson as junior bridesmaid wore a dress of blue satin. All three carried colonial bouquets of carnation and roses.

The groom was attended by Maynard C. Dallman as best man. Walter Johnson acted as usher and Dennis Dallman, as junior best man.

After the wedding a reception at the home of the bride was held for about 120 guests.

The home was decorated with yellow, white, blue and pink streamers caught up with white bells.

After a wedding trip through parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota, the young couple will be at home to their friends at Unity, Wisconsin.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Dallman are graduates of the Unity, Wis. High School. Mrs. Dallman having been employed as bookkeeper at the Farmers Co-op Co. at Spencer and Mr. Dallman being employed at the Unity branch of the Colby State Bank.
