Thomas, Mary E. (Mar. 25, 1879 - Mar. 10, 1933)
Mary E. Thomas was born at Arcadia, Wis., March 25, 1879, and died March 10, 1933, at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 13 days. She had been in very poor health for the past five years, and the last three months was a great sufferer.
She was united in marriage to John Matysik, June 9, 1896, and moved to the farm in the town of Cleveland, where she has resided ever since. To this union fourteen children were born.
She leaves to mourn her sad passing, her husband, eleven dauhters, Mrs. Helen Eisberner of Cleveland, Mrs. Martha Harris of Altoona, Mrs. Clara Dunn, Mrs. Mary Klemish of Cleveland, Mrs. Catherine Watson of Eau Claire, Mrs. Angeline Crave of Cleveland, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Leona, Vivian and Frances at home; and three sons, John, Jr., of Eau Claire, Joe and Edward at home; an aged father, two sisters, four brothers; sixteen grandchildren, besides a host of friends and neighbors who will greatly miss her.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, March 13, at the St. John's Church at Fairchild, Rev. S. A. Szymezek of North Creek, officiating. Interment was in the St. John's cemetery. From Fairchild department of Augusta Union.
