Bemis, Mr./Mrs. Walter (Golden - 1940)

Mr. and Mrs. Walt. Bemis celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 24th. Fifty years ago, this estimable young couple stood before the tier of the nuptial knot and gazing into the future with its milestones of anniversaries, saw a vision of happiness, a fine family of sons and daughters, and a home of plenty. And all these dreams have come to pass.

Original plans for this anniversary event were to have all the sons and daughters and in-laws and grandchildren gather in one great reunion, but vacations did not co-ordinate, so plans were changed to hold the reunion in the early fall. A joyous gathering was held, however, Wednesday on their fine farm east, of town, in keeping of the golden wedding day.

The many old neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Bemis join in heartiest congratulations on this important anniversary and with them many more years of happy wedded life.
