Jahn, Vilah D. (Marriage - 16 July 1940)
Miss Vilah D. Jahn, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Jahn, of Alma, and Marvin M. Duerkop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Duerkop, who reside west of Humbird, were united in marriage at Decorah, Iowa, Tuesday, July 16, by the Rev. T. A. Hoff, of the First Lutheran Church of that city.
They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerlop, brother and sister-in-law of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Alma High School and Buffalo County normal. For several years she has taught in that county. The groom has been employed in Buffalo County for the past eight years.
They newly weds enjoyed a few days honeymoon tour through the scenic parts of Iowa, on which trip they were accompanied by their attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop.
Mr. and Mrs. Duerkop will reside on the bride’s home farm, near Alma, which they have rented.
