Cross, Milo A. (2 Jan. 1871 - 1940)
A message was received by Mrs. A. F. Simons last Friday afternoon from Milo A. Cross, stating that his father died the night before at Mauston. Mr. Cross had been a hospital patient for a week before his death. He had continued his work up until about that time. He and his family resided here for several years while he was employed as butter maker for the Humbird Creamery Co., leaving that position to became field representative for the Gridley Dairy Co., of Chicago. They retuned to Mauston, which had been their previous home, but his occupation gave him frequent opportunities to visit with friends here. Mr. Cross was a member of the Masonic Order, and funeral services were held at the Masonic Temple in Mauston last Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Simons, W. E. Waters and Mrs. R. J. Stuve from here attending. Mr. Cross was 69 years of age, having been born in Mauston, Jan. 2, 1871. He is survived by his widow, one son, Milo A. Cross, of Madison, and a grandson.
