Farmer Killed at Chili
Emil Miller, aged 64 years, a town of Sherman farmer, was instantly killed Friday morning. Aug. 16, when struck by the Omaha passenger train a short distance from Chili. He had spent the evening in Chili, left his car parked there and walked away on the track. Whether accident or not will never be known. He was the oldest son of the late Ferd Mill, who lives several years ago west of this village. He leaves a widow, two sons and one daughter; a stepmother, three stepbrothers, and four stepsisters. Burial was in the Veefkind Cemetery.
