Manthe, Ione Marie (Marriage - 20 Sept. 1947)

Miss Ione Marie Manthe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Manthe, Spencer, became the bride of Louis William Meyer, Marshfield, route 1, at a ceremony held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon by Rev. H. C. Hinz at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Brighton.

The groom’s niece, Miss Genive Meyer, Hewitt, was maid of honor, and his nephew, Edward Zwicke Jr., Marshfield, was best man. Other attendants included Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence ?, Spencer, and Chuck Meyer, Marshfield.

The bride was gowned in white satin styled with ? inserts and a long train. Her full length veil was caught to a heart shaped headdress and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of roses.

The maid of honor wore a ? satin gown and the bridesmaids were dressed in pink satin. The bridesmaids all carried fan shaped bouquets of gladioli, carnations and asters.

Supper was served to 135 guests and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

After a 10-day wedding trip to Minnesota, Illinois, Canada and Northern Wisconsin, the couple will be at home to friends at Marshfield, Rt. 1, where the groom is the operator of Meyer’s Service Station.

The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.

Miss Ione Marie Manthe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Manthe, Spencer, became the bride of Louis William Meyer, son of Bernard Meyer, Marshfield route 1, at a ceremony read at 2:00 Saturday afternoon by the Rev. H. C. Hinz at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Brighton.

The groom’s neice [sic], Miss Genive Meyer, Hewitt, was maid of honor, and his nephew, Edward Zwicke Jr., Marshfield, was best man. Other attendants included Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bores, Spencer, and Chuck Meyer, Marshfield.
