Turgeson, Mary A. (16 March 1862 - 20 June 1934)

Mrs. John Turgeson, aged 72 years, died at the home of her son-in-law, Ernest Mitchell, in Platteville, Wednesday of last week, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, Rev. E. F. Aiken had charge at the Fox Hollow Church and Rev. G. L. Pound officiated at Platteville. Burial was in the Basswood Cemetery in Richland County. Mrs. Turgeson was the wife of the Rev. John Turgeson, retired, for many years a pastor of the Free Methodist church. They were married July 1, 1885. She was well known by many in Humbird, having resided here a number of years ago, and visited here frequently. She is survived by her husband, two sons, William, of Barron, and Dr. John F., of Belmont, and one daughter, Mrs. Edna Mitchell, of Platteville. One son, Vivian, died several years age. Mrs. Turgeson had been an invalid for some time and for more than a year was entirely blind.
