Palm, Lewis (31 AUG 1861 - 1 OCT 1938)
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Lutheran church for Lewis Palm, a resident of this community for 27 years, who died Saturday at his home here. A stroke was given as the cause of death, which came after an illness of a week.
Mr. Palm leaves the widow, Eva Palm, a son, Herbert of Milwaukee, two daughters, Mrs. H. Brockway of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Oscar Kern of Madison, a brother John of Helenville, and four sisters, Mrs. Katie Becker of Milwaukee, Mrs. Minni Stoffel of Racine, Mrs. Marie Vogel of California, and Mrs. Louis Nethsheim of Fort Atkinson. Two sisters are deceased, Mrs. Marguerite Bender and Mrs. Carie Baker.
The last sad rites were in charge of Rev. L. C. Langholz, and interment was in Lutheran cemetery here. Pall bearers at the funeral were Thomas Froeba, John Hubing, Frank Bauer, Joe Wedl, Albert Davel, and August Witt.
Mr. Palm was born in Helenville, Wis. Aug. 31, 1861. He was married in 187? to Miss Helen Bieck at Helenville, until her death in 1904. He married Eva Domine in 1912. Mr. Palm was a member of the Lutheran church.
Relatives and friends who came from out of town for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Bauer and Mr. and Mrs. H. Paasch, Cyrill Bauer of Minneapolis; Mrs. F. J. Carey, of Robbinsdale, Minn.; Mrs. Eva Neipert and John Domine of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Nick Brell and Mrs. Otto Fritzke of Edgerton, Wis.; and Mr. and Mrs. Schmoedel of Neillsville, Wis.
