Fabers Beat & Robbed.
When Peter Faber and his sister, Miss Mary Faber, returned to their home in Garden Valley about nine o’clock Sunday evening, they were attacked by two masked men. One stuck a gun in Mr. Faber’s face and the other struck him on the head with an iron bar. Miss Faber was bound with some wire and was somewhat bruised in the scuffle. The men robbed them of some $60 and left. Miss Faber was able to release herself from the bonds and telephone for help. Several stitches were required to close the wound in Mr. Faber’s head and it is expected he will recover unless complications arise.
Mr. and Miss Faber, who had spent the evening at the home of Sid Gower, report that the car was seen several times that evening in Garden Valley. It is reported the men was identified and taken into custody by the Jackson County sheriff.
