Harley R. Tison, age 82, of Granton, passed away on March 30, 2007.
Harley was born in Omaha, Nebr. on May 29, 1924. He was a World War II veteran, serving in; the Air Force and Army, 607th Tank Destroyer Battalion, Northern France. He was vice president of the Tri-County Component Builders, of Naperville, Illinois, for five years beginning in 1960. The company was one of the first to mass produce roof trusses for home building. In 1972, Harley was president of the Illinois Bow hunters Association. He also served as president of the Neillsville A.A.R.P. Harley was a member of the Granton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nadine; three children, Harley R. Jr., of Homeland, Calif.; Rodney D., of Spring Grove, Ill.; and Georgia I. Bowen, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007, 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church, Main Street, in Granton. A military service will be provided by the DAV.
