Hammer, Cora (Marriage - 23 Jan. 1935)
On Wednesday, January 23, 1935, at 8:30 a.m., occurred the marriage of Miss Cora Hammer and Mr. Millard Zook, both of Augusta.
The ceremony was performed by Father Sheridan at Fairview.
The bride was beautifully attired in a blue gown, trimmed with white, and the groom wore the conventional blue.
After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served the bridal party at Father Sheridan’s home.
A sumptuous wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to immediate relatives and close friends. Those present were the Hammer family, Mrs. Lucia Zook and daughter Irene, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gregor and Mrs. Roy Livermore.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hammer, and has lived here all her life, and is held in high esteem by all.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Lucia Zook, and for the past several years has been delivering groceries for the Bartig Shadler Co.
The young couple will make their home for the time being at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hammer, where they will be at home to their many friends.
The best wishes of all are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Zook for a long life of happiness and prosperity. - Augusta Commonwealth.
