Darrel W. Loos

COLBY -- Darrel W. Loos, 76, of Colby, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at the Colonial Center in Colby.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. Inurnment will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

He was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Colby, the son of Walter and Nina (Riemer) Loos. Darrel and the former Marion Scheffler were united in marriage and later divorced.

Darrel farmed in the rural Colby area and was employed with Packaging Corporation of America, Colby, for 36 years.

He is survived by four children, Mark (Mary) Loos of Mosinee, Brian (Sally) Loos, of Mosinee, Tommy Loos of Marathon and Jane (Jerry) Herzog of Wausau; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Morrow of Virginia Beach, Va., and Emilie (Edward) Kappel of Stratford; and a brother, Dean (Ann) Loos of Colby.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
