Neumann, Marian Ellen (Marriage - 29 Nov. 1944)

Miss Marian Ellen Neumann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Neumann of Spencer, exchanged wedding vows with Raymond Klein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klein of Spencer, in a service read in St. John’s Lutheran church in Brighton Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. H. C. Hinz officiated and Miss Mabel Miller of Abbotsford, Walter and Herman Klein, brothers of the groom, and Henry Neumann, a brother of the bride, were the attendants. The bride wore a white ninon frock styled with full bishop sleeves and a long gathered skirt. A beaded coronet held her rayon net veil and she carried pink roses and white chrysanthemums. For jewelry she wore a gold locket. Miss Miller, as maid of honor, wore a blue satin and georgette frock and matching net bonnet. She carried white and gold chrysanthemums. Following the wedding ceremony a supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents decorated with blue and white streamers for the occasion. A large wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom ornament and flanked with tall candles formed the centerpiece at the bride’s table.

Both the bride and groom attended the Spencer high school. The bride graduated in 1936 and the groom in 1935. They will reside on the groom’s farm near Spencer.
