Voss, Anna (15 Sept. 1882 - 7 Dec. 1944)

Mrs. Gust Voss of Abbotsford died Thursday morning last week at her home, having attained the age of 62 years, 2 months and 22 days. Mrs. Voss, the former Anna Hansen, was born in Marshfield on Sept. 15, 1882, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen. The early part of her life was spent in this vicinity. She was married to Gust Voss at Marshfield on April 12, 1903. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Voss moved to Colby and have lived in the vicinity of Colby and Abbotsford since, with the exception of three and a half years spent in Dodgeville, Wis. Mrs. Voss had been in poor health for a number of years, and the cause of her death was due to a complication of ailments.

Surviving her death are her husband, Gust Voss of Abbotsford; Edmund of Dorchester and Mrs. Theodore (Mildred) Domer of Unity, four grandchildren and two brothers, Anton Hansen of Marshfield and James Hansen of Waukesha. One sister and one brother and her parents preceded her in death.

The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby and at 2:30 o’clock at the Colby Methodist church, the Rev. M. B. Ferguson officiating. Internment was made in the Colby cemetery. The floral tributes were in charge of Mr. and Sewell Cook and Mrs. Elmer Langjahr. The pall bearers were Edmund Thede, Alex Thede and George Kelsey of Abbotsford, Ted and Art Salter of Unity, and Henry Eckes of Marshfield.

Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Falck and daughter of Hortonville; Mr. and Mrs. Geo Voss of Hilbert; Mr. and Mrs. Will Voss of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Kaeser of New Holstein; Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Weister and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fel of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hansen and Mr. Lester Hansen of Vesper; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hansen of Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Thede, and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Thede of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zimmer of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. George Schoenfeld of Wausau.
