Manthe, Albert (26 Nov. 1876 - 9 Dec. 1944)

Albert Manthe, aged 68 years, a respected resident of this community, passed away Saturday afternoon about 4 o’clock in an automobile in the village of Spencer, shortly after being taken to a physician. He had been ill Saturday morning and was taken to Spencer for medical attention. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Swarthout Funeral Home, with the Rev. Arthur Almquist in charge and internment was made in the Spencer cemetery.

Albert Manthe was born in Iron Ridge Nov. 26, 1876, and was married June 8, 1899 to Mathilda Marten of the town of Brighton. He had resided on farms near Spencer the past 60 years. Surviving are his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Lorena) Huber of Spencer, two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
