Randall H. Thomas

Randall H. Thomas, 53, Owen, died Wednesday, February 21st, 2007 at Hospice House, Wausau.

Visitation was from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the church. Memorial services were held Saturday, February 24th, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. Reverend Mark Neumann presided. In addition, a memorial service was held in Oshkosh, Monday, February 26th at 5:30 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, Oshkosh. Visitation was from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Reverend Jean Schmidt presided.

Randall was born September 18th, 1953, in Oshkosh to Harvey Thomas and the late Amber (Neitzel) Thomas. He grew up on a farm in the Oshkosh area.

He married Debra Obernberger on May 24, 1975, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Grove.

Since moving to the Colby area, Randy worked for H. K. Christiansen Farms & Sales Corp. in Abbotsford, Wis.

He was past president of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church. In passing, he held the presidency of the Green Grove Athletic Association. He enjoyed playing softball, ice fishing and hunting. Randall was an avid family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Randall is survived by his wife, Debra Thomas, Owen; father Harvey Tomas, Oshkosh; one son, Matthew Thomas, Owen; three daughters, Rachel (David) Baehr, Sun Prairie, Gina (Adam) Neace, Warsaw, IN and Jackie (Geno) Stelzel, Medford; two sisters, Deborah (Jerald) Selwitschka, Clintonville and Tamie (Mark) Borgardt, Oshkosh; two grandchildren, Brayden and Shane Stelzel; maternal grandmother, Esther Neitzel, Oshkosh and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Amber.
