Local Happenings
E. J. Fryer and family spent Saturday with his father in Tomah. His sisters from Minneapolis and Aberdeen were there also.
R. A. Creviston came home from the Marshfield hospital Sunday. He is under the care of Dr. Schwarz.
Lucille Michael is recovering from the car accident. She will be at the Krohn Clinic probably three weeks more, until the left fracture is healed.
E. Washburn, Mrs. Crane, and Mahlon Lund and family spent Sunday in Eau Claire, with H. E. Wilson and family. They also visited John Hurst and Mrs. Edith Henning.
E. G. Stallard, principal of Merrillan School, is retiring from the teaching profession at the close of the school year to accept a position with Ginn & Co., text book publishers. Mr. Stallard will visit the high schools and colleges of northern Wisconsin and northern Michigan, representing the company.
Vernon Smith is reported on the sick list.
Chairman Sparkes went to the county seat Tuesday afternoon to attend the spring session of the county board.
