Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 5, 1959, at 1:30 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley for Christian Carl Gorsegner, 69, who died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Seattle, Wash. Rev. J. Fisher officiated and burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Stanley.
The deceased was born March 18, 1889 in the town of Reseburg, Clark County. He married Pearl Warner in 1910 at Stanley, who preceded him in death Dec. 9, 1953. He was a blacksmith and a Supt. of Stanley Wood and Ware Co., in Stanley for a number of years and in 1935 went to Jump River and was in the logging business until 1954 when he retired and moved to Holcombe for a short while and then moved to Seattle, Wash. In Aug. 1954 he married Mrs. Lillian Ketchuam at Ladysmith, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian, three sons, Clarence, Loyal; Russell and Richard, Jump River, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Gust, Thorp; Carl, Withee; Emil, Firndale, Wash., 2 sisters (Rose) Mrs. Wm. Warner, Tucson, Arizona, Mrs. Edith Buss, Thorp and (Louise) Mrs. Herman Doege, Greenwood.
Pallbearers were: John Heiting, Art Brassard, George Wright, Joe Foster, Emil Block and ??? (Rest cut off.)
