Cramer, Betty Lou (Marriage - 19 Feb. 1945)
Betty Lou Cramer of Castlewood, S.D. and Dwight L. Reed of San Francisco, Calif., were married on Feb. 19 at Reno, Nevada. The marriage took place at 11 o’clock in the Church of Revelation with the Rev. Myrtle Eickelberg officiating. The bride was attired in a brown suit with pale blue blouse and accessories to match. The bridegroom wore a brown suit. Mrs. Reed is a graduate of the Castlewood high school and Watertown, S.D. Beauty school. For the past year she has been employed in office work in San Francisco and Richmond, Calif. Mr. Reed served two years in the Southwest Pacific with the Marines. He was in the first wave to land on Guadalcanal and also served at Cape Gloucester, New Britian, where his division received the Presidential citation. He was in Intelligence officer for the Pioneer Battalion, a demolition squad. After receiving shrapnel wounds, Mr. Reed was honorably discharged from the corps and he is now employed as special officer for the South Basin War Dwellings in San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Reed will live at 26th Pale Road, Apt. 57, Bldg. 20, San Francisco, Calif. Mrs. Reed is well known in Spencer and community.
