Bolling, Nettie (Marriage - 19 June 1935)
The marriage of Miss Nettie Bolling, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Bolling, formerly of Humbird, was celebrated at the home of the bride’s parents, 3961 Lake Park Ave., Chicago, midst the family group and a number of close friends, at six o’clock Wednesday morning, June 19th. The groom of this happy event was Mr. Merrill Perkins, from Tulare, South Dakota. Rev. Flemming, of Evanston, officiated. The bride was prettily dressed in blue silk crepe and the flowers were honeysuckle. Her sister Mabel was bridesmaid and the brother of the groom was best man.
Twenty friends enjoyed the wedding breakfast, after which the newly married couple left for their new home in Tulare, S. Dak., stopping at Humbird enroute.
The groom is engaged in ministerial work and teaching during the school months. He has visited in Humbird frequently during college vacations. The bride is well known in our vicinity, is a graduate of Wessington Springs, S. D., college, and is an active member of the Free Methodist Church. A large circle of friends wish them much happiness in their new home in the west.
