Dennis Tischendorf

Dennis Tischendorf, 73, Dorchester, died Saturday, March 17th, 207 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

A memorial mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Gitter at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, Wis. Visitation with family and friends will follow the service at the church. Interment will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Dennis was born on May 29th, 1933, in Dorchester, the son of William and Caroline (Skruvani) Tischendorf. He attended Dorchester schools.

A dairy farmer, he farmed in the Town of Deer Creek, Taylor County until the mid 1980’s. He also hauled semi-loads of hay to area farmers.

With retirement, Dennis did metal recycling and transportation for the Amish community. He was a member of St. Louis Parish.

Dennis is survived by his children, Pat (Grace) Tischendorf, Dorchester, Mike Tischendorf, Athens and Jan (Dale) Koth, Dorchester; one sister, Shirley (Ernie) Krause, Stetsonville and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Geraldine Nenn and two brothers, Alton and Milton Tischendorf.

Maurina-Community funeral Home, Dorchester, assisted the family with arrangements.
