Damon, Addie M. (8 Mar. 1883 - 12 May 1945)

Miss Addie M. Damon, aged 62 years, of Chicago, died Saturday morning, May 12 at a hospital in Flint, Mich., where she had been visiting at the home of a sister, Mrs. Susie Erickson. The body was taken to Wausau where funeral services were held last Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the Helke funeral home. Rev. Walter L. Clark, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Wausau officiated and internment was made in Pine Grove cemetery.

Addie M. Damon was born March 8, 1883, in Spencer and was formerly employed in the office of the Wausau Iron works until locating in Chicago about 20 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred F. Damon, pioneer residents of Spencer, who located here in 1875. Surviving are six brothers, Harold E. Damon, John O. Damon, Leonard C. Damon and Jesse S. Damon, all of Wausau; Fremont Damon of Green Bay and Fred F. Damon of Tomahawk; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Ritter of Chicago and Mrs. Susie Erickson of Flint, Mich.

Fred Damon, father of the deceased, was a brother of Gus Damon of Spencer, and Addie M. Damon is also survived by many cousins in Spencer and other communities.
