Jacobitz, Frank Russell (22 Jun. 1872 - 30 Sept. 1945)
Spencer people were shocked Monday morning to learn of the sudden death of Frank Jacobitz who suffered a heart attack Saturday and passed away late Sunday afternoon. Before that he had been about as usual, having been on a fishing trip Friday.
Frank Russell Jacobitz was born June 22, 1872 in the town of Osceola, Fond du Lac county and was therefore 73 years, 3 months of age. On August 4, 1896, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Jane Burnett at the Baptist parsonage in Campbellsport to whom were born nine children, all of whom were born in the town of Auburn, Fond du Lac county, and all of whom are living. They are: Russell and Clarence of Milwaukee; Mrs. Erwin (Bernice) Westfall of Spencer; Mrs. Ben (Mildred) Riehle and Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Giesie, both of Athens; Clyde of Spencer; Mrs. Chester (Dorothy) Albert of Saukville; Norman of Marshfield and Warren of Spencer; 35 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. He was the surviving member of two families.
The funeral services were held at the Swarthout Funeral Home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. Ellery J. Beal in charge and internment was made in the Spencer cemetery.
