Gillet, Fay C. (14 Oct. 1876 - 17 Nov. 1945)
Fay C. Gillet, aged 69 years, a well known resident of Unity and vicinity, and a former president of the village of Unity, passed away at 9 o’clock last Saturday morning at St. Joseph hospital in Marshfield, where he was a patient since Nov. 12. A circulatory collapse was given as the cause of death. The body was taken to the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby, until the time of funeral services on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Unity Methodist church, with the Rev. R. J. Fleming of Viroqua officiating at the rites, and internment was made in Forest cemetery in Fond du Lac county.
Fay C. Gillet, who was unmarried and has no surviving relatives, was born in Fond du Lac county Oct. 14 1876, was educated in township schools in that county and Fond du Lac high school. He farmed in the town of Brighton for 23 years and was clerk of that township. After retiring he moved to the village of Unity and lived there for 24 years. His two sisters, Mrs. Lida Cook and Jean Gillet preceded him in death.
