Short, Elsie B. (1 Nov. 1892 - 1 July 1990)

Elsie B. Short, 97 Rural Route 1, Granton died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, July 1, at Neillsville Memorial Home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday July 5, at Zion American Lutheran Church, Granton, with Rev. Alice Hill officiating. Vocalist Carol Glaze will be accompanied by Margie Dahl.

Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton is handling arrangements.

Elsie B. Short was born Nov. 1, 1892 in the town of Lynn, Clark County, to Otto and Susan (Reidel) Neitzel. She received her education in the town of Lynn and graduated from Neillsville High School. She taught in several Clark County rural schools prior to her marriage to Arthur Short on Dec. 18, 1918 in Granton. He died March 13, 1984.

She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church, and the Lynn Birthday Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Short, Granton, and Mrs. Audrey Troemner, Deforest; and two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, six sisters and a brother.
