Zielie, Geraldine Louise (Marriage - 6 Aug. 1936)

Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Zielie, 30 Ferry Street, announce the marriage of their daughter Geraldine Louise, to Edmund Noyes, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Noyes, of Humbird, which took place at the parish house of St. Patrick’s church following the 6:30 mass, Thursday morning, Aug. 6. The Rev. Thomas E. Mullen read the nuptial vows.

The bride wore a navy blue silk crepe suit with matching hat, and gloves, and a corsage of white gladioli and Johanna Hill roses. Mrs. Zielie, sister-in-law of the bride, was dressed in a silk crepe suit of spruce green with matching accessories and wore a corsage of talisman roses and blue delphinium.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex R. Zielie attended the couple. Mr. Zielie is a brother of the bride.

Following a wedding breakfast at the Colonial Grill, Mr. Noyes and bride left the city on a wedding trip which takes them to Duluth and into Canada. For traveling, Mrs. Noyes wore a yellow knit suit with matching accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. Noyes will reside at Humbird, where Mr. Noyes has a position as coach and teacher in the school system.

Pre nuptial events included a miscellaneous shower in honor of the bride at which Mrs. Alex Zielie and Mrs. Robert Gault entertained, and a stage party held at Elk Creek in honor of the groom at which he was presented with an occasional chair. - Eau Claire Leader, Aug. 8.

Mr. and Mrs. Noyes arrived here Monday evening, and will make their home with his parents.
