Matuezuski, Theresa (1863? - 16 APR 1933)
As Mrs. Theresa Matuezuski, her daughter, Mrs. Felix Luzinski and grandson Walter Luzinski, were driving with a horse and buggy along the road between Gilman and Polley on Sunday nigh Last, they were struck by a truck driven by Andrew Kendra with such force that Mrs. Matuezuski was thrown from the rig and instantly killed, and her daughter, Mrs. Luzinski, suffered a nervous shock. The boy, Walter, received only minor bruises. The dead and injured were brought to Thorp by Felix Kapzsukiewicz.
Mrs. Matuezuski was about seventy years of age and was born in Poland. She was married to John Katryck who died a number of years ago. Later she married Blazel Matuezuski, who with a sister, Victoria Kudingo of Thorp, one sister and one brother in Europe, and one son, John Katrych of Cornell, survive.
