Clouse, Amelia (14 May 1880 - 29 Jun. 1962)

Neillsville - Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Humbird at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Amelia Clouse, 83, of Humbird, who died Friday. The Rev. Wayne Grover, Eau Claire, will officiate, and burial will take place in the town of Beaver cemetery, near Loyal.

Friends may call at the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville until noon Tuesday and then at the church.

The former Amelia Luepke was born May 14, 1880, at Spencer. She was educated in schools there and at Stevens Point, and was married in May, 1897, to Edwin Clouse. The couple farmed in an area north of Loyal. Mrs. Clouse came to Neillsville in 1934, and in 1947 she moved to Humbird.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Eva) Laffe, Humbird; Mrs. John (Gertrude) Hoogewind, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Mrs. Kurt (Olive) Schlei, Green Bay; a son, Ben Clouse, Loyal; sister, Mrs. Arthur Lambert, in Illinois; three brothers, Charles Luepke, Medford; August Luepke, Marshfield; and Fred Luepke, Spencer; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1911, by a son, Frank, in 1951, and by one brother and two sisters.
