Mellenthin, Albert H. (9 Mar. 1892 - 30 Aug. 1960)
Spencer, Wis. - Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in St. John’s Lutheran Church for Albert H. Mellenthin, 68, who died of a heart attack Tuesday evening at his home here. The Rev. M. L. Yonker will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Jasperson Funeral Home beginning this evening.
Mr. Mellenthin was born March 9, 1892, in the town of Unity. He was married to the former Elsie Schroeder. They farmed in the town of Unity until his retirement eight years ago when he moved to Spencer. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Elinor) Luepke, Spencer; and Mrs. George (Shirley) Clark, Edgewater, Fla.; four sons, Ray, Rockford, Ill.; Oscar, Beaver Dam; Gordon, Colby; and Wilbur, Unity; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Schwantes, Owen; Mrs. William Ewald and Mrs. Amanda Krause, Spencer; and three brothers, Frank and Arthur, Spencer, and Otto, Marshfield. There are 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His brother, Herman, preceded him in death.
