Glaman, Alma A. (13 Jun. 1891 - 20 Oct. 1986)

Mrs. Edmund (Alma) Glaman, 95, of 606 Walnut Ave. died at 1:40 p.m. Monday at Marshfield Living Center, where she had been a patient for the last four weeks.

Services will be at Hansen Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Reinhardt, of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Bruce Jensema, organist, will accompany soloist, Duane Helgerson. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and on Thursday until service time.

The former Alma A. Mellenthin was born June 13, 1891, in the Town of Unity, to William and Helene (Seefeldt) Mellenthin. She attended Spencer schools.

She was married to Edmund C. Glaman May 14, 1914, in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spencer. After their marriage, they moved to Marshfield. During World War II, she worked in the Johnson Garment Factory. She and her husband were foster parents for deaf children for several years. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1964. Her husband died Jan. 14, 1974.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid since 1925.

Surviving are a son, Donald Glaman, Marshfield; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers.
