Horrell, Ruth Marjory (Marriage - 30 Aug. 1936)
Mr. and Mrs. George H. Horrell, of 3900 Saline Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Ruth Marjory, to Mr. Charles Richard Racine, of Detroit, Mich., on Sunday, Aug. 30th, at 9:30 a.m. Rev. L. L. Finch read the service in the chapel of the First Methodist Church.
Miss Muriel Horrell, sister of the bride, attended her, and Kenneth Anderson, of Detroit, served Mr. Racine as best man. The bride wore a dark blue traveling suit trimmed with gray squirrel and wore a corsage of gardenias and talisman roses. Miss Horrell was attired in a dark down suit trimmed with beaver.
Following the ceremony attended by relatives and immediate friends, a luncheon was served at the home of the bride’s parents.
After a wedding trip through the east, visiting the home of Mr. Racine’s parents at Dunkirk, N. Y., the couple will make their home in Detroit, where Mr. Racine is employed by the S. S. Kresge Co.
Mr. Racine is graduate of the class of 1933 at the University of Michigan. Mrs. Racine was graduated from Ann Arbor High School, attended Business College, and spent two years in studying dramatic art.
