Fenske, Esther (Marriage - 24 Oct. 1936)
Miss Esther Fenske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Fenske, and Mr. Joseph Kurasz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kurasz, of Neillsville, were united in marriage at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Oct. 24, the Rev. Wm. Baumann reading the double ring ceremony. Eric Sievert played the wedding march, and the congregation joined in singing "What a Fried we have in Jesus."
The bride was attired in a floor length white transparent velvet dress made in princess style, and wore a long veil. She carried an arm bouquet of pink roses, white chrysanthemums and baby’s breath.
She was attended by her sister Miss Edna, who wore an ankle-length yellow organdie gown and carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses, yellow and pink chrysanthemums.
The groom was attended by his brother Andrew, and they both wore the conventional blue.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, supper being served to about forty guests. In the evening a dancing party was held at the Levis Community Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Kurasz are both well known in this vicinity, the bride being a member of the graduating class of Humbird High School of 1934. They will reside in Eau Claire where the groom has employment.
