Geo. W. King who was a prominent resident of this county for a period of twenty years is now here on a visit to his brother John F. King and other relatives and friends. After losing his saw mill on the Humbird road, by fire several years ago, he concluded to try his fortunes in the west. He has been away about five years and we are glad to hear that he has been very successful in the gold fields of Colorado. There is considerable guess work about estimates of value placed on mining stock, but one thing seems to be quite certain about Mr. King’s, that by a sale he could easily realize a handsome fortune from it any day.
