Range, Robert E. (March 24, 1917 - April 10, 2007)

Robert E. Range, age 90, of Granton (Town of Lynn), died at Memorial Medical Center, in Neillsville, on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. There will be no services.

Robert was born on March 24, 1917 in Elgin, IL to John A and Dora (Blanck) Range. He was united in marriage to Catherine Gladys Goebel in Illinois. They later divorced. He was a long haul truck driver and was an accomplished pianist, playing on the radio and in clubs around Illinois. Robert later married Evelyn Viola Morton and moved to Wisconsin in early 1960s. He drove cement truck in Marshfield, for Mengels, and later bought his own truck and hauled lime for many years. Robert cared for his mother until her death on May 23, 1989. His wife, Evelyn, died Nov. 11, 1990. He resided at home until entering the nursing home in March of 2007.

He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Barr, of Janesville; three step grandsons, Neil Braasch, of Sharon, WI; Gary Braasch, of Carpentersville, IL; Claude Parker, of Marshfield; and one step granddaughter, Mary Joiner, of Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn; one step daughter, Bonnie Parker; and one brother, John Range.

Cuddie Funeral Home, of Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.
