Sherwood - 16 June 1882
Editors Times: We have had fine rain this week. Grass and crops were already suffering from the drouth [drought].
Mr. R. Seeley is getting things ready for the new saw mill. The mill will be good thing for the people of this town.
Mr. Isaac Meddaught has brought a team of young horses. He got them from Mr. Brock and is well pleased with them.
Mrs. Charles Hamilton, of Plainfield, is in town this week with her father visiting her brother, Mr. B. Seeley. The old gentleman is in his eighty-fourth year.
Mr. Perkins is talking of building a new house on his farm, this summer.
The advent of a saw mill will doubtless be followed by the erection of many new buildings in our vicinity.
