Godfrey, Harriet (2 Feb. 1870 - 20 Jun. 1948)

Word was received by Mrs. J. H. Vogt of the death of her sister, Mrs. F. A. Godfrey, after a long illness, June 20, 1948, at the age of 78 years.

Harriet (Brintnall) Godfrey was born in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, February 2, 1870, and came with her parents to the Town of Unity in April 1870. She taught in the public schools in Clark County and on December 31, 1895. was married to Frank A. Godfrey in Fargo, N.D. They moved to Seattle, Washington in 1907.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. R. D. Porter of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. J. H. Vogt of Unity; one brother, R. A. Brintnall of Clarno, Oregon and two grandchildren. A son, a junior in the Washington State University, preceded her in death.

Until the last few weeks she has been an active member of the Presbyterian Church. Services were held June 22 and she was laid to rest in Woodland cemetery in Seattle.
