Unity - Correspondence
Editors Times: Dr. Briggs who purchased Mr. Mayville’s place has arrived with his family. The doctor is a jolly good fellow and will soon make many warm friends in our little town.
S. A. Cook, of Neenah, formerly of Unity, has been in town a few days renewing old acquaintances.
Miss Jessie R. Lewis, who received the Lewis prize at the graduating exercises of the Madison High School and Miss Emma Nums, both of Madison, are visiting their old friends and classmate, Mrs. J. W. Salter.
Unity, Wis. High school closed Tuesday, July, 11th, and on Wednesday the scholars gave an exhibition at the M. E. Church, which was very much enjo7yed by the large crowd who were present.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. E. Creed, and Mrs. And Mrs. F. H. Darling went to Colby Friday evening, July 14th, to attend a party given by Geo. Go?ha, who has sold the Colby House and is about to leave the same. Nelson Hull, of Holton, is the purchaser.
A. H. McCabe has sold his house and lot to Wm. Mayville. We regret to learn that Mr. and Mrs. McCrabe are soon to leave Unity.
Miss Hall, of Spencer, gave an entertainment here the fore part of last week for the benefit of the M. E. Church. Miss Hall is making hosts of friends on the stage, and she will command a large house here.
Mrs. Chas. Flood is visiting friends in Neyanwega.
