Stoneburg, Sarah A. (1833 - 5 Aug. 1882)

Stoneburg - At Greenwood, Wis., Aug. 5, 1882, Sarah A. Stoneburg, aged 49 years.

Mrs. Stoneburg was a widow, lost her husband by death 10 years ago. She came to this place last September. At the time of her death she resided about two miles south of town. Last Saturday evening she came to the village in company with her daughter, and while in Jones Bro’s & Johnson’s store she complained of a severe headache which rapidly grew worse and she was taken to the office of Dr. Thomas, who made an examination of the case and pronounced it a severe attack of apoplexy and adjudged the case a hopeless one. She was then removed to the residence of James Syth, where she died twenty minutes to 12 that night. It was indeed a sad case, so sudden that her friends and especially her family could scarcely realize the sad result. The funeral took place on Sunday and was largely attended. - Greenwood Aug. 11

*Note in the original write up the surname was spelled Stoneburger.  Sarah Ann Stoneburg was the wife of Peter J. Stoneburg.
