Mary Ryan, 93, Gurnee, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in Waukegan, Ill. Funeral services were held ay 10 a.m., on Monday, April 16, at St. Dismas Church, Waukegan. Burial was in the Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, Ill.

Mary Slovnik was born Sept. 20, 1913, in Willard.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn (Ryan) Berry; her grandchildren, Bob (Dawn) Berry, Diana (Bert) Gibson, Christine Berry, Kathleen Berry, Patrick Berry, Amy (Matthew) King, and Michael Berry; her sister, Stephanie Ryoti; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward J. Ryan; her brothers, John Slovnik and Frank Slovnik; her sister, Josephine Grun; and a son-in-law, Robert Berry.

Marsh Funeral Home, Gurnee, assisted the family with arrangements.
