Krause, Mary (25 DEC 1938)

At a noon service in the Iola Methodist Church on December 25, 1938, marriage vows were exchanged between Miss Mary Krause, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krause of Ogdensburg, and Mr. Gerald Klug of Neillsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Klug of Loyal. The ceremony which followed the morning worship service, was performed by Mrs. Margaret Oosterhuis, aunt of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The wedding marches were played by Mrs. R. C. Cleaves of Iola.

Attending the bride were her sister, Miss Grace Krause, and Miss Eileen Seeman, both wearing floor length dresses of midnight blue taffeta. Each wore a gold colored coronet and a corsage of sweet peas and narcissus.

The bride was attired in a traditional white satin and wore a long tulle veil. She carried a shower bouquet of roses.

Attending the groom were his twin brothers, Delmar and Wilmer Klug, of Milwaukee. The groom wore an oxford grey suit, his attendants blue suits.

Following the ceremony a wedding luncheon was served to about thirty immediate relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride has for the past three and one-half years taught the Sunny Knoll School and will complete this school term. The groom operates the North Star Cheese Factory near Granton where the young couple will make their home.
