Hewey, Charles (26 AUG 1860 - 24 JAN 1939)
Charles Hewey died Jan 24, 1939 at the age of 78 years. Mr. and Mrs. Hewey lived in Owen since November. He suffered much for several years and has spent quite a bit of time at a Madison hospital. Prior to November they lived in the Town of Green Grove just in the southwest corner. They were both workers at West Beaver Chapel for many years.
Mr. Hewey was the janitor. He was born in Phillips, Maine on Aug. 26, 1860 and was united in marriage to Christina Knutson Oct. 26, 1914 at Withee. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Owen Gospel Tabernacle and the body was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss his good wife and many friends.
