CHILI -- Gerd Wellman, 60, Chili, died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Grandview Country Living, Chili.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan. Burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Milan.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Gerd was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Germany to Irvin and Johanna (Held) Wellman. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He resided in the Owen-Withee area for a number of years before moving to Chili.

Gerd is survived by one son, Michael (Stephanie) Wellman of Abbotsford; his father, Irvin Wellman of Abbotsford; and three sisters, Linda (Lawrence) Cooper of Unity, Ursula (David) Witt of Fond du Lac, and Ruth (Alan) Uhlig of Abbotsford, Wis.
