Editors Times: Mr. J. McBride, was has been ill for some time is seen on our streets again.

Miss Bertha A. Dudley, one of Neillsville’s fair daughters, spent Sunday visiting with friends at this place.

W. H. Holabird, traveling agent of the Atchison, Topeka & Sana Fe Rail Road, was in town Sunday and Monday, the guest of his old time friend, J. Cross.

Mr. Eilert took a business trip to Neillsville on Thursday.

Mr. D. Haycock and family will make Black River Falls their home in the near future. Mr. H. is a gentleman of sterling worth, and will win a host of friends wherever he goes.

Some of young people are making a laudable attempt to organize a reading club, for the purpose of more thoroughly familiarizing themselves with the masters of English and American literature. The project, if entered into heartily, would doubt less prove interesting and instructive.

Several minor improvements are going on here, such as new barns, new sidewalks, eminently desirable in these muddy days, woodsheds, and several other "nothings" which, are all, mark energy and thrift.

Politics is very quite along this Potomac. Star Route Dorseys and Blaine inconsistencies seldom disturb the even tenor of our way.
