Delewski, Joseph M. (4 JUL 1906 - 5 MAY 1934)

Joseph M. Delewski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Delewski of the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), died at the hospital at Chippewa Falls May 5th, 1934 of pneumonia, being ill but a short time.

Deceased was born July 4th, 1906, at Chicago, coming to this country in 1912 with his parents. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance of America, Dramatic Circle of the Polish National Catholic Church and Polish Federation of Music. He leaves to mourn his untimely passing, his parents, three brothers, Stanley and Leon of Thorp, Lieut. M.B. Delewski, U.S. Navy, five sisters, Mrs. Estelle Nowak, Mrs. Frances Krause, Mrs. J. Dupleyie, all of Chicago, Mrs. Rose Boles of Libertyville, Ill., and Miss Helen Delewski of Thorp.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 9th, at St. Mary’s of Assumption Polish National Catholic Church at Lublin, of which deceased was a member. Requiem High Mass was sung by Bishop Rt. Rev. L. Grochowski of Chicago, assisted by Father Fr. Parulski of Mosinee, Wis., and Father F.K. Kedzierski, St. Mary’s pastor. Bishop Grochowski delivered the sermon in Polish and Father Parulski in English at the church. And Father Kedzierski conducted the services at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Julian and Philip McCaffery, Wm. And Michael Lockbourm, John Lisiecki and Albert Emberson.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. F. Nowak, son James and daughter, Mrs. F. Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. A. Krause of Chicago, Mrs. W. Boles of Libertyville, Ill., and James Nowak of Chicago, a representative of the Pulaski Drum and bugle Corps of which the deceased had been a member.

my great grandfather's name was michael delewski, my grandfather's name was frank delewski, my father's name was frank delewsky. Can you tell me where Joseph Delewsski's parents were born in Poland or Germany? I am doing genealogical research on the Delewski name.
