Northup, Olga Amelia Louise (October 14, 1913 - May 1, 2007)
Olga Northup, age 93, of Neillsville, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Wis.
Olga Amelia Louise Krause was born on Oct. 14, 1913 in the Town of Pine Valley, Clark County the daughter of Herman and Amelia (Riedel) Krause. She attended the Wild Rose Grade School, and later was united in marriage to Elmer Northup on Dec. 23, 1936 in Neillsville, Wis. After their marriage they lived up north for a short time. Later, they lived in the Christie area and farmed and in 1950 they moved to Neillsville, Wis.
She is survived by her children, Gloria (Ron) Hainz, of Neillsville; and Ronnie (Kathy) Northup, of Neillsville; 14 grand-children; 30 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Eva Grottke, of Schofield; and a good friend, Vi Bartlet, of Neillsville, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; a son Gary; a grandson, Gary Jr.; and sisters, Edna Ratsch, Nora Marden and Ella Schnabel; and also a brother, Paul Wagner.
Funeral Service for Olga will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2007 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Music will be provided by Sharon Nemitz, organist and St. John’s School Choir. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the Church.
